چکیده
Abstract The study aimed to explore the correlation of diameter and blood flow velocity internal jugular vein with preoperative volume in elderly patients providence for rapid evaluation ultrasound patients. Thirty over 65 years old were recruited study. Patient’s central venous pressure (CVP) was recorded before anesthesia. maximum (Dmax) minimum (Dmin) left measured by M type respiratory variation index (RVI), defined as (Dmax − Dmin) / Dmax × 100%, calculated. (BVmax) (BVmin) Doppler ultrasound, (BVI), (BVmax BVmin) BVmax Then, each given 5 ml/kg crystalloid solution, relevant data again compared that infusion. between measurement CVP, their efficiency predicting CVP > 6 mmHg statistically evaluated. No matter or after infusion, Dmax, Dmin, BVmax, BVmin positively correlated (Correlation is significant at 0.01 level (2-tailed)); RVI negatively however, BVI no difference. Through analysis ROC curve, RVI, could be used predict these patients, best BVmax; diagnosis not effective. Ultrasonic measurements diameter, variability, indicating indexes potentially evaluate

15 صفحه اولEstimation of the diameter and cross-sectional area of the internal jugular veins in adult patients
INTRODUCTION Unawareness of an asymmetry between the right and left internal jugular vein (IJV) and methodological pitfalls in previous studies raise concerns about such asymmetry. Hence the aim of this prospective non-interventional study was to validate the hypothesis that right IJV diameter is greater than those of left IJV and to determine the cross-sectional area of the IJVs using computed...
